Hey all! im extremely new to this stuff and ive been lookin around through here and i keep comin acrosse people saying they are puttin down, lets say 4 "units" or 8 "units," my question being what is a "unit?' Is it like $10.00? Thx!

Generally recommended to have a bankroll of 100 units and wager just one unit, most of the time.

By using units, $10 and $10,000 bettors can communicate their level of expectation more easily e.g. making a 4 unit bet.

Not everyone follows this scheme.
